چکیده

Active XML (AXML) is a new markup language framework that provides the ability to exchange intensional data. The intensional data is defined in the AXML documents as calls to local or remote Web services. AXML aims to improve the task partition and distribution in P2P networks. However, if one peer joins more than one P2P network and its services are invoked frequently by a large number of peers, this peer can become a bottleneck and requires large computational resource. In this paper we show that a caching mechanism in P2P networks based on the AXML technology can be a promising solution because AXML properties will simplify the caching procedures in these networks. We propose three layers of caches that will be located in: the bottleneck service provider, nominated peer(s) in the P2P network and the service requester.

A Novel Caching Strategy in Video-on-Demand (VoD) Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Networks Based on Complex Network Theory

The popularity of video-on-demand (VoD) streaming has grown dramatically over the World Wide Web. Most users in VoD P2P networks have to wait a long time in order to access their requesting videos. Therefore, reducing waiting time to access videos is the main challenge for VoD P2P networks. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm for caching video based on peers' priority and video's popula...

Schema-Assisted XML Querying in Unstructured P2P Systems

While XML emerges as the de-facto standard for contents available on the Web, centralized approaches for searching the available information is deemed inappropriate at Web scale. Unstructured peer-to-peer (P2P) systems appear as a promising alternative to delve with scalability limitations, hence efficient querying of data stored in XML databases that reside on peers becomes an important challe...

A Genetic Programming-based trust model for P2P Networks

Abstract— Peer-to-Peer ( P2P ) systems have been the center of attention in recent years due to their advantage . Since each node in such networks can act both as a service provider and as a client , they are subject to different attacks . Therefore it is vital to manage confidence for these vulnerable environments in order to eliminate unsafe peers . This paper investigates the use of genetic ...

Trust and Caching Technique for Intelligent Semantic Query Routing in P2P Networks

The P2P routing protocol is affected from the fact that queries need to reach the largest number of peers to enhance the chances to locate the target file and messages should be low as possible We propose trust based query routing technique for P2P Networks. Initially the node with maximum trust value is chosen as cluster head. These cluster heads are designated as trust managers. Each peer mai...
